Finally!
We are ready to set off!
With days of "publicising" to our friends and family, lugging bags and bags of collected stuff like karang guni, brainstorming lesson plans, developing worksheets and teaching materials, sorting the things out and deciding what to bring and what not, packing them into our luggage and backpacks and the admin tasks to deal with like arranging accomodations and flights. TOMORROW is finally the day!
The projected started by one person, but supported and assisted by many. Including people i've never met. Project Planthopes is not just about this single trip, hopefully it continues to many other trips or to many other beneficiaries.
Thank you very much. Sincerly. From the bottom of my heart.
This trip would not be possible if not from all of you. You may have passed the msg to your friends, you may have collected or contributed the items, you may have supported in morale, or you may have been the sweat-hard labourer to carry our bags of books.
No matter who you are, and what you have done. You have done well.
Touch your heart and touched many who are going to gain from this Project.
Tmr, we will bring your well wishes across the borders to Nepal.
We are not just bringing tangible materials there, we are also bringing the warm feelings of fellow human kind. To let the kids know that there are people somewhere out there who care about them.
(As I was preparing for the trip and updating myself on the Nepal's news. Realised there was a national protest by their ex-govt party. Schools, transportations, shops etc were closed. Many were injured. Several thoughts flashed through my mind. One, the safety of us travelling there. Two, why? The kids there going to suffer again? The nation is just about to pick itself up and then it has to be thrown into a mess again?)
When we return, we will share with all of you abt the trip. Meanwhile, have a good holiday!
Merry X'mas!
